Reflection on your true interest helps you to carry out your tasks in your daily life with peace, contentment and happiness. Before taking up the study of spiritual teaching and practices, it is necessary to develop simple Discrimination (Viveka)which will help you to understand the deepest conclusions in Spirituality. There are a number of shortcomings in the Sadhakas, which have an adverse impact on the Sadhana (practice). Misconceptions, slackness, wrong procedures and pride about the Sadhana will result in a setback. These shortcomings have to be overcome for the Devotional practice of being stationed in Supreme Bliss. It is necessary to carry out Sadhana in proper way to reach the final destination. Many a time after gaining theoretical knowledge sadhakas stumble when they try to gain direct experience and lose their way. It is for this reason that the Shastras direct the Sadhakas to get personal guidance from the Self Realized Master (Sadguru). This becomes possible only when Realization of the Self (Atma-Sakshatkara) and also the way to achieve this end are explained to a Sadhakas with clarity. Get the experience of the Paramatman by looking inward. The State of Paramatman has no qualities, no form. It is everywhere and ever perfect. It is filled with bliss and also it is omnipresent. It is in you and present in everyone. Actually it is your Real State. It is your own basic existence, presence. You are That. But in order to grasp it looking inward is absolutely essential. We need to give up the unreal so that what is real is realised. Sadhaka must have both Discrimination( Viveka) and Detachment (Vairagya). Viveka is the ability to discriminate between the real and the false. Vairagya is the attitude which enables us to give up the unreal. Spiritual Devotional Practice is the effort one puts in to know Oneself.
