There should be inward conviction that the world is illusion. If you are fully aware that this illusory world is false and you function in this world with detachment, that is really the greatest thing. You must remember that the illusion (Maya)always tries to make you forget your True Nature by adopting various tricks. You should remain in a state of Desirelessness by mind, speech and action. You must live in Brahman, as Brahman. There is no Self-Realization without True Renunciation and Desirelessness. To be in the world ignorantly is painful. Come to the understanding that the world is illusion, then you will experience that there are joy and contentment, even in this world appearance. Attachments to pleasure is bondage. If that desire is replaced by Desirelessness then the bondage is broken. Fruit of the Self is obtained through Desirelessness. Ego is full of ignorance. It does not compare to Enlightened Vision because it is related to the physical perception. Only Self – knowledge can destroy the ego. Without Spiritual Devotional Practice there is no Self Knowledge and without the Grace of Sadguru there is no Self-Realization. One who does not have Self-Realization while he is living is truly lost. It is sure that, one who is ensnared by worldly things is lost in the stream of mundane life. We must know that the Devotion is the Inner-Vision. Therefore, we should walk with the firm determination on the Spiritual Path which is shown by the Sadguru and that we have accepted.
