When we search, we cannot find what is “I “and we also find that there is only Supreme Brahman which is immovable. Actually, wonder is we are That (Brahman) but without teaching of the Sadguru, we cannot understand it. When by discrimination everything is measured and discarded there is only the essence remaining, then only there is understanding of what we are. We have imagined the “I “but when we examine it, it disappears and what remains is Supreme Brahman. By the teachings of the Sadguru the sense of “I “is dissolved together with the elements. Naturally the abstract remains which is experienced by meditation on Gurumantra. Then there is self-surrender. When self-surrender happens, there is unity of the God and the devotee, and the devotee leaves the separateness and remains God only. When there is no separateness the very sense of “I “and “mine “disappears. This recognition of the God Almighty made possible by being in the company of Sadguru and thus there is complete escape from worldly life. Self-surrender means to search and find out what we are and to lose ourselves as being nothing. In the Spiritual Devotional Practice listening to spiritual discourses comes first. Then there is Service to the Sadguru and after that by the blessing and Grace of the Sadguru there comes Self-surrender. After Self-surrender there is absolute eternal aloneness. Because there is a deep inner Enlightenment that we are Atman. It is true that by the Enlightenment one becomes Brahman and the sorrow, pain, suffering of worldly life ends. This is the real Self-Knowledge by which the devotee becomes Brahman and completely inseparable. Then only he can attain the peace, Satisfaction and Liberation in this very life.
